I found a great little feature on a golf course website- the "ExcuseToPlayGolf-inator." The Refuge, near Jackson, Mississippi, has a feature that allows you to make a series of choices to create a perfect excuse letter to anyone from a boss to your wife on why you will be missing for 5 or 6 hours to play golf, only the excuse generator will tell them you're doing something different (like dying).

Here is mine that I'm going to use-

Dear Abby,

I won't be home for another four to five hours today because I feel some car trouble coming on and I wanted to give you a heads-up... just in case.

It's a great idea but somewhat poorly executed. It's really just an excuse to get your email address to send specials on the course- but I think that's fair for the service they're providing. Either way- build your excuse and get it off for the weekend!
