2013 World Golf Hall of Fame Ballots Released By mustang6560 on 6/26/12
The World Golf Hall of Fame released the 2013 Ballots yesterday and the three new names include David Duval, Steve Stricker, and Padraig Harrington.
Here is the 2013 Ballot.
Of the three new candidates, Padraig is the only one who is a shoo-in for the HOF, in my opinion. He has amassed 26 professional wins including three majors. Steve is a great ambassador for the game, but without a major I'm not sure he's a HOFer. And David, well, he's a step closer than Steve because he won a major, but something just doesn't feel right about "David Duval" and "Hall of Fame". It's probably a good thing that I'm not one of the golf journalists, historians, or dignitaries who gets to vote. read more Image via World Golf Hall of Fame Did I miss something? Tip Your Editor [ comments ]  bkuehn1952 says:I think we have all voiced the opinion in the past that "Hall of Fame" memberships should be limited to players no longer active in the game (or at least now playing on the Champions Tour). Personally, I would sort of draw the line on USA players at 20 PGA wins and 1 or 2 majors. 3+ majors and several other wins would be automatic, too. Hard to count Champion Tour results but in some instances that might serve to put a player over the top if they fell a bit short during their regular career. On that basis, no one on the PGA Tour ballot makes my HOF. 6/26/12
 Torleif Sorenson says:Dittos from here. Paddy Harrington *is* the only current shoo-in nominee, for sure. What I cannot believe is that Ken Venturi has not already been inducted. IMHO, Tony Lema is also overdue, his short career notwithstanding. As for Monty, obviously he has not won one of the four men's professional majors, but his dominance of the European Tour and his remarkable record as a Ryder Cup player and captain make up for the lost majors. 6/26/12

In my opinion, Mark O'Meara should be highly considered for this year's HOF. Not only he is a great great ambassador for this game but his career numbers speak for itself: 16 PGA wins including the Masters and the British Open in 1998, 2 Champion Tour wins. Great golfer, true gentleman. 9/7/12
