Never Have I Ever Cheated With Money On The Line
![]() Here's a fun new summer feature for oob, "Never Have I Ever..." If you're unfamiliar with the game you can read about it here, but basically what happens is I make a statement about something I've never done, and anyone who HAS done it has to admit their severe golf addiction. It's often a drinking game revealing your inner slutdom, but I figure this is probably worse.
I know there are people out there, let's hear from you... Never have I ever CHEATED WITH MONEY ON THE LINE! Of course, it wouldn't be fun if I just listed mine, so this is most certainly an interactive game. Email me at andrew@oobgolf.com your best "Never Have I Evers..." and we'll have some fun! I think anyone who HAS cheated with money on the line is probably either afraid the person they cheated will read this, or is buried under the 18th green. 6/11/09
Well... someone sent it... so at least ONE of you have done it. Maybe I should post his or her name... 6/11/09
I cheated once.............. in the opposite direction. I LET my girl win in a tourney to boost her confidence. Maybe that's not cheating but I didn't play my best. I laid up on holes I would normally go for, etc. 6/11/09
Nope, never have i cheated. I caught someone cheating a few times though. Didn't bury them under the 18th though, too many people on the sun-deck watching. Number 6 was on the opposite side of the course. 6/12/09
Why do we keep score? To see if we are improving. Why do we want to improve? So we can win. What's the use in winning, if you don't win something? I can't remember playing a round where there wasn't some kind of bet. Putting money on the line tends to keep people more honest. It's a little different if they lie just to post a good score but quite another to cheat someone out of money. 6/12/09
Attach a ball marker to the bottom of your putter with a small spot of chewing gum. Tap the marker down on the green close to the cup when you walk by, then pretend to be carefully marking your ball, and pick it up before anybody gets too close. 6/13/09
