Dustin Johnson Wins FedEx St. Jude Classic By mustang6560 on 6/11/12
Dustin Johnson closed with a 4-under-par 66 in the final round of the FedEx St. Jude Classic to win his sixth PGA Tour title.
For a man who couldn't swing a golf club for six weeks, Dustin Johnson sure knows how to return to winning form quickly. The South Carolina native is the first player since Tiger Woods to go directly from college and win a tournament in each of his first five season on the PGA Tour. He also holds the second-longest active streak of consecutive seasons with a victory (5) behind only Phil Mickelson (9). Dustin is clearly a very talented golfer, however, he is definitely his own worst enemy (see 2010 PGA Championship). The only thing preventing him from taking his game to the next level (winning a major) is himself. Hopefully, as Jack Nicklaus likes to say, Dustin can "get smart young", so he can avoid further careless injuries and mental mistakes to finally breakthrough at one of the majors. read more Image via Flickr, Keith Allison Did I miss something?
