The Only Thing You Need To See Today

Padraig Harrington goes on Sport Science to see how the "Happy Gilmore" swing works. The results are awesome!

I don't want to ruin it for you, but we've all seen amateurs try this on YouTube. Let's just say putting a pro behind the wheel is a totally different ballgame. I wonder if Padraig would ever pull this out if he's desperate and just needs an extra couple yards of carry.

Padraig just became one of my favorites. He doesn't appear to have a ton of personality on the course (but he does have an awesome death stare). Anyone willing to do this though, is awesome in my book.

If Padraig could figure a way too pull this off in an event... which would be better for him: the results of the shot, or the endorsements he'd get because of it?

The pros thrive on repetition. It wouldn't surprise me if he could hit a decent shot like that left-handed as well.

I won't be impressed until he hits it 400 yards with his grandpa's driver. I wonder if Padraig's caddy has the ability to catch his putter in one hand when he slings it across the green like Gilmore. I agree Paddy should get some dap for testing this and that it would be hilarious if he tried it at a tournament.
