Fan interrupts Webb Simpson's U.S. Open victory speech
By mustang6560 on 6/17/12
Alcohol is a helluva drug.
If you weren't watching live coverage of the U.S. Open, then you missed a well-lubed fan attempt to spoil Webb Simpson's U.S. Open victory speech.
USGA executive director Mike Davis reacted quick though and yanked the fan out of the way.
I don't own the rights to this video so it will probably be unavailable by tomorrow morning, so enjoy wwhile you can!

yeah, lubed is the word for it.
that was certainly amusing
couldn't think of anything better to say, anyway? Good lord. Way to behave at the National Championship, dope.
Kind of wonder how someone dressed like that got "on stage". It seemed like there were lots of uniformed police every where and it did not look like he was wearing an blue blazer.

And as Lee Trevino would have also pointed out, he didn't have any dandruff on his shoulders, either. :-P
I think he raided Tiffany Joh's closet for the headgear.
What was Colin Montgomerie saying about American fans?
Webb Simpson was trying to gloss over the whole stupid thing, rightfully so, when stupid Costas had to validate the intruder with a stupid winking comment. Costas is just as guilty of spoiling Simpson's big moment.
this whole "mashed potato" phenomenon is getting out of hand...i heard that yesterday again...i heard chewbacca after furyk's approach on 18...and a tandem pair of db's shout "filet mignon!"..."medium rare!" after a tiger drive on thursday...
sorry i should have prefaced the comment by saying...similar to the outburst above...
Yeah, I heard "light the candle". The folks around the people yelling this nonsense should report them and have them removed. Notice no one following David Toms' group yelled any stupid phrases, only around Tiger/Phil/Bubba. What ever happened to "nice shot?"
IN THE CUP, on the tee box of the long par 5...............
