Introducing oobgolf Addict
 OOBGOLF IS STAYING FREE! EVERYTHING YOU DO FOR FREE NOW WILL CONTINUE TO BE FREE FOREVER!We've always said that we want to keep oobgolf free and we've always promised that everything free will stay free. That is not changing.Okay- now onto Addict... While our free service already provides more than anything else out there, some of you are still asking for more. For those people we have created Addict. Addict is a new subscription feature at oobgolf.com that allows users to track a multitude of new stat categories. As the name suggests this really is for the most hardcore golfers who want to track their game to the fullest. From the number of times you come up short on your approach shot to the number of sand saves, if you want it, oobgolf will track it. This new feature will be the first of its kind on the internet continuing to bring stat tracking and game improvement to amateur golfers. Scores and stats can be entered at oobgolf.com or in real-time on any mobile device with data access. For $12 per year ($1 per month) Addicts get: The reason we're adding this service is quite simple. You have demanded it! Our awesome users continually ask us to add more advanced stat tracking and we're happy to make the options available, but there is a cost associated with storing that much additional data. Addict is not for every oobgolf user and our free stat tracking service will continue to be the best available online! Check out these two links below- before buying. You will see all of the extra stats you get. If you don't need the extra stats- don't buy Addict. The FAQ link below will also answer some additional questions on how this all works.  onedollarwed says:Fantastic. What I really want though is free slots, to track whatever we want - like emptiness. I suppose we could use a given stat slot and just remember that it's something else. If you give me free slots to label as I choose, I'll become an addict. Ok, I'm already addicted, but I'll pay the fee! 4/3/09
onedollarwed says:See... we have all these bizarre games and such - like the baseball one, the football one, the basketball one, and the golf one as well as many eclectic scores (between players). Could we have meta-stats kept for "groups?" I know, you're probably really tired of hearing ideas... but a bracket system for groups or large oobgroups I'd paying extra for! 4/3/09

Kickntrue says:@onedollarwed The short answer is- it's just not easy to do. What I can suggest is sending us an email with some of your side games and tracking. We plan on eventually adding hundreds of Addict stats- so it could be possible to incorporate your tracking. What I really do need to know is where the oobgolf name came from. Is it a variation of Uber-golf maybe? I thought also maybe a backwards word, but flogboo makes even less sense.  Shooter Mcgowan says:it is a picture word. it is explained in the about us page. you have to mouse over the oobgolf logo. basically the first "o" is the golf hole, the 2nd "o" is the the golf ball and the 3rd letter "b" is a driver. hard to see until you "get the picture" 7/30/09
