![]() What Is oobgolf.com? By mustang6560 on 12/19/11
Welcome to oobgolf.com, the leading online stat tracking website in golf. Please feel free to stay and look around.
Fundamentally, we are a FREE stat tracking website for golfers. But, upon a closer look, you'll see we are much more than that. We are a community of avid golfers who enjoy sharing our experiences both on and off the course. As a FREE user, you'll have access to custom stat tracking, mobile scoring, handicapping, golf news and discussion and more. With our Course Finder, you can discover new courses to play in your area AND you might even find a friend or two to add to your foursome. If you love golf as much as we do, then you'll have plenty to see and do on our site. While the majority of oobgolf is FREE, we do offer a tiered membership level called "Addict" with additional features like advanced stat tracking, live mobile scoring, course editing privileges and more. As an Addict+, you'll have access to our GPS Rangefinder app, which is available on iOS and Android. And the best part is all Addicts are automatically entered in our monthly "Addict-only" giveaways! To find out more about who we are click on our "Features and Pricing". [ comments ]
So now that the "best golfer in the world" has died. Who is the new "best golfer in the world"? Does his son play? 12/19/11
You should probably mention the sarcasm and constant razzing that you take every time you post an article. This group of golf enthusiasts will pounce on any misspelled word, grammar error, and is always ready with a "that's what she said" zinger. 12/19/11
Once, back in college, we were all young and trying different things, and I tried Oob, but it was just the one time. Okay, I stole that from Merlin but it was such a great line I have been waiting to re-use it. 12/19/11
@TeT that's good. and if its legal to possess 9/10... is that 9/10 of an ounce? or pound? 12/19/11
Re: possession... I knew a guy who had a minor airplane accident. The Feds came out and wanted to see his pilot's license. He said "it's back in my office in my desk". The investigator said "according to regulation, it has to be in your possession". He, being a lawyer, said It's in my possession, it's in MY desk, If there were illegal drugs found in MY desk, you'd say I was in possession, since it's MY desk!" The FAA regulation has since been rewritten, on account of him, to read, "must be carried on your person when exercising the privileges of the certificate." 12/19/11
THAT's what I miss - jocularity. I used to be on oob a lot (frmr Addict), but now I'm more of an FGI forum guy. Only stopped oob-habit cuz I needed to enter my scores on a golf association site to make my index/HC "official". The oob site had better stats and I always liked the equipment feature, and the locker room mentality and banter - as mentioned. Wedge Guy is good too and I still come back for that. (But just began playing - and loving - SMT Durometers. My bad, WG. ) But without the relevancy of entering scores, I drifted away. C'est la vie. Go Canucks. 12/21/11
