South Shore Golf Course

This course was built on hilly terrain and was cut out of the woods, so the fairways are narrow and the large greens are fast. The non-resident walking rates here are $46 weekdays, $54 weekends and holidays (carts are $18.50/person). Discounts are available for New York City residents.

Very easy to get to, friendly staff, nice grill room. It is a good looking course, the greens need work and some of the tee boxes are awful, there is more sand than grass. Some blind shots, lots of trees. Played in a scramble, not sure if I would come back on my own.

I played in a tournament there so i can't comment on pace of play. it was pretty well maintained. the greens were in good condition, and most of the tee boxes were too.
