Island Lake Golf & Training Center

This short-but-charming course offers a safe place for beginners (kids especially) to learn the game, and is owned and operated by Ramsey County Parks. The nine-hole course itself is tucked next to Island Lake, and aside from stretches through forest and around wetlands, the course closes with a short, risk-reward par 4 to a green protected by water. A large, lighted practice range and a miniature golf track are also here, in part to help keep kids' attention.
