This popular daily-fees destination features plenty of water; the signature hole is 8 where, from the blue tees, your tee shot will need to carry 260 yards of O'Dowd Lake. Also available is the par-30 Waters Edge course.

The club offers various specials, including a couples' "Nine and Dine" on Fridays through Sundays. Players who book their tee-time online receive complimentary use of a $16/person cart, although walking is permitted. But unless you're Jesus the Christ and can walk on water, you'll take a boat to cross O'Dowd Lake on number 8.

One of my favorite courses in the southwest Metro of the Twin Cities -- well worth the trip. Not overly long, but requires a decent arsenal of shots. Greens are a challenge -- need to putt well here to score. Holes 7-8-9 make up one of my favorite stretches of holes anywhere.
