Average Hole Difficulty
Up North feel which is great and the maintenance was good other than a few bunkers collapsing after just 12 years. Very strange layout for an Arthur Hills course but still a nice yet challenging one. I have seen lots of complaints about cost but it is on par with other $70 weekend courses. One of the best marked courses I have ever played for distances and directions. I think you can take off 4-6 strokes by playing a second time through. Played 2nd and 3rd nines. Having a single rate mid-week ($65) is a bit out of line with the rest of SE Michigan. Many of the greens showed the stress of the Summer and were not in particularly good shape. The first 18 holes are great but a bit repetitive. Each hole features lots of evergreens bordering a roller coaster fairway that doglegs either left or right to a well bunkered green. Only one water hazard of any significance (#18). Played holes 1-18 and the course is great. Every bit of the course was in immaculate shape, even the bunkers with all the rain recently. Felt like an up north course with the holes mostly alone.
