Beaver Lakes Country Club

Beaver Lakes Country Club is located just 15 minutes north of Pittsburgh International Airport close to Route 60. Our challenging 6,600 yard par 72 course is easy to walk and features lush fairways and manicured greens. The course is nestled in a secluded area among the rolling hills of Beaver County.

This is now called The Club at Shadow Lakes. They are building a completely new clubhouse, and currently the pro shop is in the halfway house at the turn, making a bit confusing to start off.

The course is atypical in Western PA - very flat and walkable. I only encountered one or two sidehill fairway lies. The premium here is on shot placement, with lots of doglegs and par 3's on the longish side. The greens had recently been rolled and sanded so the putts didn't follow expected breaks, and they died quickly despite jumping off of the putter face. This is a temporary condition though.

The value is up there - at $40 including a cart on a weekday, this is typically a private course that is open to the public for the time being. Scenery was ok, nothing too dramatic, but some nice water views in the center of the course.
