Royal Oaks Golf Club

This links-style course only has a few trees which can alter your shots, but there are numerous water hazards incorporated into its design. Many holes require lay-up shots from off the tees. The signature hole is #15, a 195-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot to a peninsula green. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 5th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996.

Great course, always enjoy playing Royal Oaks, but I agree with an earlier commlent that maintenance could be a little better.

This is a really nice course, but right now it's not in the best shape. (This seems to be a recurring theme.) Lots of burned out and bare patches, despite wet month. It's not a "links style" course as claimed. In any case, I'll be back for sure.

Very fun course, if it is taken care of. I have seen the Tee boxes and fairways burned out in mid-summer. In spite of that very challenging.

Greens fantastic, fairways on backside needs work. Practice area the best I've seen.

I consider this as one of my favorite courses although yesterday I thought the course was in worse shape than it should have been in. I understand the courses are struggling with the weather conditions but I feel the maintenance crew could do a better job. I was dissapointed that the greens fees were not reduced. One other problem I had was, even though it was a holiday, it is no excuse for the round to take 5 hours and 20 minutes to play. I did not see one marshal to speed up play.
