Chester W. Ditto Golf Course

This 18-hole course opened late in 1982 on land acquired from Alberta Ditto, widow of longtime Arlington resident Chester W. Ditto -- hence the name of the course.

Walking rates here are $19 weekdays and $24 weekends.

Fairways were in great shape. Greens were good, but a little thick and slow. Staff was very friendly. Kind of slow play, but typical for a city muni. Not bad, good old school course.

This is not a course I would choose to play again. A five hour plus round on a Saturday is probably not that unusual, but having to put up with poorly maintained greens and dodging balls from players on all the parallel holes was. The greens had been recently aeriated, but had only been partically filled with sand. The greens were about 75% sand (almost no grass)
