Gus Wortham Park Golf Course

Gus Wortham Park GC is situated along Brays Bayou in the south-central area of Houston and provides challenges not regularly found in Houston. Elevated tees and some uphill carries play to relatively wide open fairways. The first nine features three consecutive par-5s, two of which can be reached in two.

Owned by the City of Houston, the course is now operated by the City's golf operations staff, following many years of private management. Standard fees are $16 Mondays through Thursdays, then $23 on Fridays, weekends, and holidays.

For $19 to walk on the weekends, the conditions are not great but the course has a nice layout, elevation changes in Houston are nice.
