Longwood Golf Club

Longwood GC is a 27-hole co-design between former PGA Tour player Keith Fergus and University of Houston golf coach Harry Yewens. The fairways run through dense forest, which makes each hole fairly secluded, while the small-ish, well-bunkered greens were designed not to be too punishing to higher-handicap players. Likewise, four sets of tees are designed to accommodate a variety of skill levels.

It is typically rated among the top daily-fee courses in the Houston area; Golf Digest's "Places to Play" staff have rated Longwood 4.0 stars. A variety of memberships, lesson programs, corporate meeting and wedding facilities also are available.

Staff are friendly, we played a Friday afternoon, pace was OK - around 4.5hrs. Course in general is in decent condition but greens need a complete overhaul, inconsistent, bumpy and bare spots in places. Overall deal is good during the week, golf includes buffet lunch and drinks but wouldn't pay the weekend full price with the greens in their current condition.
