![]() Myrtle Beach, SC 29579-6808 www.LegendsGolf.com 843.236.9318 THE HEATHLAND COURSE is a return to the grand "Old Country" traditions of the game. It has been distinctly molded in the image of the British Isles links courses, with holes reminiscent of familiar links like St. Andrews, and lesser known gems like Lahinch and Cruden Bay. Most of the holes are without high vegetation, providing a visual presentation like no other course in the area. The Legends Group offers an excellent value for their fall golf packages. Our foursome played Heathland, Moorland, Heritage, and Oyster Bay this past week. The courses offered a real test for both the scratch golfer to the 15 handicapper. My scenic favorite is Oyster Bay, which I had played more than 25 years ago. Where else can you see black squirrels, blue heron, alligators, and bald eagles all in the same round. We just had our 14th annual trip to Myrtle this year and booked all 5 Legends Courses. We were rained out on the Heritage course, but the rest were great. The courses were crowded, but we moved at an okay pace 4.5-5 hours. the greens were smooth and true and the fairways were in great shape. The package we booked included breakfast and lunch and it was a big benefit. Everyone would play there again next year. Played Moreland course. A couple holes were gimmicky but mostly fun and fair. A good changeup from boring golf. Best Price/value with Legends card $34.53 includes full breakfast buffet, 18 holes, and lunch from the menu. (Might only be for locals ??) The Legends Heathland, Mooreland and Parkland are amongst the best course owned by the Legends group. Oyster Bay and Heritage club are not as great, but Oyster Bay is better than Heritage club for its scenery. All courses are ~ $135 per round. The Heathland course was good, very well maintained and probably worth the price. Heritage quality wise was more like a $75 course (however others have rated it high so may be due to current conditions), and Oyster Bay was fine for the money. Great quality courses. I would recommend them any day but they are especially good for the final round of a golf trip. Your Review
