3200 Coe El Paso, TX 79904-4800 www.BlissMWR.com/golf/ 915.568.1059 The two 18-hole courses here are named in memory of George V. Underwood, Jr., a four-star general in the United States Army. The Sunset Course dates to 1934, while the Sunrise Course is a Ken Dye design that opened in 1995. As the course is located on Fort Bliss (Bldg 3193), an active military installation, check ahead for civilian access and availability. Veterans and soldiers who are part of the Wounded Warrior project are afforded special rates; memberships are also available. Course Details
Average Hole Difficulty
I am part of the Warrior Transition Unit (wounded warriors) so I play for free and get free balls at the range making the value exceptional! There are sometimes very slow groups of five playing and it can be difficult to get around them on the Sunset side; Sunrise is often like playing a private course! Sunset could use a little more tender loving care and the greens are being resurfaced right now; Sunrise is usually in immaculate condition with yardage marked on the sprinkler heads. The majority of the staff are very nice with the exception of one or two people. The view of the highway is awesome, you do get some of the mountains and a lot of sand and buildings though.
