Hanging Rock Golf Club

Hanging Rock Golf Club features one of the most beautiful and challenging layouts in the Roanoke Valley. No. 5, the signature hole, is a 392-yard par 4 with two greens. The lower green (photo at right) is over water while the upper green is all up hill. Decide which green you want to play when you reach the 5th tee.

This course has a very nice wooded scenery of the mountains. It has very narrow fairways, so be careful. The greens are mostly sloped, and taken care of fairly well. However, there is so much pine straw on the greens, and the many breaks, I usually have more 3 putts on this course.
