South Riding Golf Club

South Riding GC is located just outside Chantilly VA in the suburbs of Washington DC. This Dan Maples design opened in 1997. Their fleet of carts includes the ParView color GPS system, while the course itself has hosted several Virginia State Golf Association events, including:

• Northern Amateur Championship
• Virginia State Amateur qualifier
• Virginia State Junior Girls Championship

I tend to like this course a little better than its sister course, Pleasant Valley, though I'm not sure why since this is a subdivision course, with houses paralleling many holes. Maybe it's because South Riding has more interesting par 3's and has some very strategic holes.

Greens were fast and awesome. Sand traps needed sand. Too much cut grass on the course. Everything else was awesome!
