TPC Sawgrass

This very well-known facility features two courses - the famous Stadium Course (host to the Players Championship) and the Valley Course. TPC Sawgrass also is home to the PGA Tour's headquarters.

The Stadium Course is rightfully regarded as one of the toughest golf courses in the world. Opened in 1980 and designed by noted golf-course architects Pete and Alice Dye, the Stadium Course was revolutionary for its radical "stadium" concept - like in other sports, fans at the TPC sit in "stands" made of raised mounds of grass -- and for its brutal design.

It is best known, though, for its signature hole, the par-3, 132-yard 17th, known simply as the "Island Green", one of golf's most recognizable and difficult holes.

Beautiful course. Found the course to be extremely fair to an 11 handicapper, other than the intimidation factor of course.

Beautiful course. The first PGA course I've played. Very fast greens and hitting fairways and greens are very inportant. I shot a 100.

this course was expensive and challenging but its worth the money. i shot a 127.
