Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon

Formerly known as Oak Valley and later as East Valley, this club offers two 18-hole courses, a complete practice facility, and meeting, wedding, and dining facilities. Morongo has hosted the PGA Tour's Q-School, qualifying for the Champions Tour and the PGA Tour Canada, as well as PGA of America's Southern California section championship. They also host a variety of outside tournaments and other group golf events.

Both the Champions and Legends courses here were designed by architects Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley, and opened in 2000.

The standard rates $57 on weekdays, $67 on weekends and holidays. Sliding twilight, senior, junior, and military discounts are available, as are memberships. Soft-spiked shoes are preferred.

I love this track. Fantastic layout, greens, everything is excellent except pace of play (sometimes) and the course was abnormally wet today 6/17/13. I had several instances where my ball was in the fairway and muddy.

Never have really enjoyed playing here, but I was in a skins game. The course has a decent layout but not to difficult. Course is in decent shape considering the time of year. but the greens could be a bit quicker and the bunkers could use a little sand.

This course is not that difficult tee-to-green as long as you choose tees appropriate for your game and drive it straight. The greens are not that fast but very hilly and confusing, like on a links course. The worst part is that the flags are not color-coded for depth on the green (and there is no GPS information in the carts), so you can't always tell where on the green you're supposed to be aiming. More than once, I hit my approach to the tier where I thought the flag was, only to discover once I got there that I had 20 yards and a big elevation change left.

Good value now that they lowered the prices. Course was challenging and the wind made the back 9 very tough. Greens were a bit beat up, but rolled good enough to make putts.
