Tallgrass Golf Course

Notable architect Gil Hanse designed this Long Island course to have a legitimate links feel. The course is ranked #9 on Golfweek Magazine's list of public-access courses in the state of New York.

The standard rates (with cart) are $60 weekdays and $79 weekends, although sliding twilight and walking discounts are offered.

They need to maintain the greens much more often... seriously, other than that the course is in fantastic shape.

Tallgrass is a challenging course from the back tees. The course plays long because of the wind. The greens are elevated and fast with lots of break. The pace of play is on the slow side and conditions are excelent.
