King's Deer Golf Club

King's Deer lies at 7,400 feet above sea level in the foothills of the Front Range, just north of Colorado Springs. Given the relatively flat terrain here, the developers designed the course to echo the links feel of courses in Scotland. Four sets of tees stretch the course from 5,054 to 6,711 yards - given the high altitude, this is not punishingly long.

Walking is permitted on weekdays, when the non-member rate is $24. Carts are required on weekends until after 2:00 p.m.; that rate is $56. Memberships are also offered.

Great find away from most. Best value around for a shot-makers course. Course is in great shape and rarely crowded. Not for most who like to walk with good distance between some holes. Rarely do you have a flat approach shot to well protected greens. Heading home you see a great shot of pikes peak from holes 14-18. grass range a plus.
