Old Trail Golf Club

An 18-hole regulation course, Old Trail was designed to conform to the natural features of the land. Old Trail offers multiple tees to provide a range of lengths pleasurable for all players. Tees and greens are bent-grass, the fairways are Zoysia, and the first rough is a Bluegrass-Fescue blend with the second rough comprised of various restoration and reclamation species.

Zoysia fairways are great once they turn green in the spring -- like a carpet. It's a good walking course without much elevation changes. Be sure to hit your driver a few times at the range before the first hole -- it requires quite a carry over a lake. Clubhouse is beautiful; food is not yet up to par. Panaramic views of the Shenandoah National Park are just great -- stop at King Family Winery next door for some tastings or Polo on Sundays in summer.
