I THINK this is a nice course, but not 100% sure since we played it in winter. About 35* all day, with 15-25 mph wind gusts. I could see, though, that the place will be very nice and even in March, the conditions were better than other courses I played over the winter in New England. Looking forward to going back when the foliage is all grown in and the course is in mid-season form. Played the PLAYER-designed course. There are some beautiful views of the surrounding countryside on some of the higher tee elevations. The layout was not my favorite. Too many blind shots and lots of mounding throughout. The back nine is nicer than the front. Of the two courses here, this one is second best. Certainly worth a play though. The Jones course is my preference. Love the condition of greens. Played an early bird special rate so it was not as expensive. I am not a fan of the Player course, too many gimmicks, blind shots and it has no ascetic value. The quick pace. too many blind shots. no par 5 till the 8th hole. greens rolled nice. wouldn't play again. Gary Player course is a wonderful shot making challenge. Hazards, forced carries and dog legs make for some memorable holes. Also the Apple Cider donuts and strawberry & Ruhbarb pies at their bake shop are tremendous. Excellent course (played Jones course), well worth playing. In great condition and very nice greens. The course was in very good shape, and the greens have come in nicely. There were still a couple dry patches on the 17th from last year's difficult summer, but overall, very nice. Your Review
