Montgomerie Dubai, The

This course is part of a luxury resort and golf destination in the capital city of the United Arab Emirates. Architect Desmond Muirhead co-designed the course with British golfer Colin Montgomerie, for whom the course is named. The placed turf over 123 of the 265 acres here, along with 14 lakes and 81 bunkers placed around terrain sculpted into a "links-style" layout.

The course is part of Emirates Hills, a very exclusive residential community. Visitors *are* welcome; the peak-season rates are AED 825, while the rates from June-to-September are AED 395.

Greens were fast and housing development still best in Middle East....

Plenty of elevation/undulation and copious trees on the front 9, which is appreciated in this region. Some interesting holes, though this is an average course when compared to its UAE peers.... its premium green fees (on par with Emirates Golf Club or Dubai Creek) are therefore hard to justify.
