Tarpon Woods Golf Club

This parkland-style course opened in 1971 and has been known at various times as "Brooker Creek Golf Club" and "Lost Oaks Golf Club." (The web site presents the Tarpon Woods name.) Regardless of the moniker, water is in play on almost every hole, while the wildlife here includes alligators, deer, turkey, and osprey.

Walking is permitted, although the rates with a cart are $20 Mondays through Thursdays, then $25 on Fridays, weekends, and holidays.

This course floods very easily. Not in the best condition but a decent course to play for the price.

Little maintenance done on greens, they are very sandy and have very little grass on them.

i played this course about 3 months ago and the greens were in phenomenal shape and the fairways were ok. i played it again today and the greens were absolutely horrible and the fairways were more like someones front lawn, just terrible. ive never seen conditions deteriorate so quickly on a course before. hopefully Tarpon Woods will have this corrected soon. i wonder why this happened? new management?
