Jacksonville Beach Golf Club

This course is owned and operated by the City of Jacksonville Beach. The course opened in 1960 and was redesigned by Robert Walker in 1987. The greens feature Emerald Dwarf Bermuda, the same strain used at Bay Hill in Orlando.

The course was not in good shape at all. The greens had patches of dirt several yards in diameter. The fairway was also cut to the level of the rough. Balls were nearly impossible to advance with any accuracy. The course was in very, very poor shape. I do not recommend this one at all. Save your money for a better place to play.
