Cooke - harkittuja erityispiirteitä
Vierumäen uusin Cooke -kenttä on championship-tason kenttä. Kentän pääsuunnittelija on kanadalainen Graham Cooke. Hänen periaate on, että golfin pelaamisen ilo tulee olla yhtäläinen kaikille pelaajille pelaajan taitotasosta riippumatta. Graham Cooken suunnittelemat championship-kentät haastavat yhtä hyvin huippupelaajat kuin tavalliset golfin harrastajat.
Cooke -kentän peliväyliä voidaan luonnehtia väljiksi. Tämä väljyys voi tuoda jopa liiallista turvallisuuden tuntua sillä väylistä löytyy muotoiltuja ääriviivoja sekä hienoisia kumpuja ja syvennyksiä. Lisäksi kentällä sijaitsevat hiekkaiset PIT-alueet ovat alueen erityispiirteitä. Nämä luontaiset esteet ovat hieno vastakohta huolitelluille viheriöille ja peliväylille. Toinen hieno vastakohta ovat hiekkaesteet kenttään kuuluvien vesiesteiden rannoilla. Viheriöt ovat loivasti kumpuilevia ja niillä on paljon lippujen sijoittelumahdollisuuksia. Haastetta viheriöille tuloon luovat oivallisesti sijoitetut hiekkaesteet.
