Eagles Pride Golf Course

Generally considered one of the best military courses within the U.S. Department of Defense, the first 18 holes (the Red and Blue nines) here opened in 1940 as Fort Lewis Golf Course, a Frank L. James design that was part of a WPA project. The third nine ("Green") was designed by William Teufel and opened in 1979. The name change to "Eagles Pride" occurred in the mid-1990s.

The other course that is owned and operated by the Joint Base Lewis McChord MWR division is Whispering Firs GC, which is located a few miles northeast of this location on the former McChord AFB side of the facility.

Great course with a nice contrast for all levels. Supurb deal for the military golfer with some nice upkeep and views throughout. Eagle's Pride keeps me coming back for more!
