Chick Evans Golf Course

Chick Evans golf course is a short (5,691 yards), yet satisfying, 18-hole course located in the northern suburbs. The course is named after Chick Evans who in addition to being the first amateur golfer to win both the U.S. Open and the U.S. Amateur Open, founded the Chick Evans Scholarship program for caddies. The Chicago River cuts right through the center of the course offering beautiful scenery and a formidable obstacle for golfers who play here.

STAY AWAY FROM CHICK EVANS GOLF COURSE (Especially the FOOD!) Golfed 18 this past saturday with 3 friends. Course was in OK shape, however 2 of us ate the polish sausage at the turn and we did not keep it down for longer than a few hours. I was sick 3 times and my buddy was sick twice from the polish sausage. On a semi-positive/slap in the face kind of way, they offered us a FREE CART for our next round. Chick Evans ruined 2 peoples days off and offered a free cart. NEVER AGAIN CHICK EVANS!!!!

Great course for the money (with a coupon). Number 3 is a beast (not long just water everywhere. MAJOR complaints: 1) Pace of play - Saw a ranger once during a 5 hour round as a threesome. 2) If your riding, they take your drivers license - even though they have your address and credit card. After a 5 hour round, easy to forget and have to return to the golf course to retrieve - boooo! I'll be back, but it won't be soon.
