This mature parkland-style course opened in 1928 with a design by Charles Maddox; architect Lee Schmidt toughened up the course with a partial redesign in 2006, consisting of rebuilt bunkers and an enlarged lake at the risk/reward 12th.
The standard rates with cart are $35 weekdays and $45 on weekends and holidays.

Greens are unplayable. Actually some are spray painted green because they are dead, diseased. Worst course in the area. Save your money and time.

This is not a resort course even thought it says that...I would never play this course again, it is NEVER maintained, who cares that they charge $25 to play the beginning of the year there are a lot more better courses around they that are better and roughly the same price, and NO GPS for a resort course....

Very short from back tees...Driver/Wedge on most par 4's....the front side par3's are greatest challenge....two greens are basically unplayable...was nice for my 10 year old son who broke 100 for the first time

Interesting course with very deep bunkers guarding most greens. Three par 5s on the back make it easier than the 3 par 3s on the front 9. Played on a day the temp was supposed to hit 100 so the course was empty. Played in under 4 hours as we didn't have to wait on anyone. Greens were a bit beat up on some holes, but it didn't hinder our play. Some driveable par 4s for longer hitters offer a real challenge.

Tight, short course. Got on in the fall with their $20 rate, which is awesome. Seemed like it might have been overbooked though as on the front 9 we had to wait at every tee from 2 to 10 minutes. Back 9 the group in front of us left, and it flowed much better. Right next to Medinah so it's in a good area. The carts have ball/club washers on them which is really handy although I prefer electric carts to the gas carts they have. I'm not sure I would like paying the regular rate here but would definitely play again for $20.

The course is pretty short and the holes are very close together. I played here for a company outing, so the course was pretty crowded. Unfortunately, half of each green was aerated, which made for tough putting. The rest of the course was in pretty good shape though.
