4442 W Perimeter Rd Andrews AFB, MD 20762-5728 www.aafbgc.com 301.736.4595 Andrews Air Force Base has three courses: The East Course (1956) and the West Course (1961) were designed by Frank Murray and Russell Roberts, while Brian Ault oversaw the South Course in 1998. The club also hosts tournament operations and large-scale food and beverage events, while also offering a golf shop, practice facilities, and an up-to-date fitness center. Since these courses are on an active military installation, players must have DoD-issued ID in order to access the course. Course Details
Average Hole Difficulty
We played the west course, it is the most boring of all three and does not have many features. Greens were very nice but the fairways not very good. If you play Andrews try for the South ( the best one) or the East. 3.5 stars for the experience. I've played this course many times, and it's always been pretty good. The course is usually in pretty good shape, pace of play is average, and the cost is normal for the area. What sets Andrews apart is the scenery. Set next to the airfield, get out in the morning and you'll see F-16s, cargos, DV jets, and Air Force One (if you're lucky) fly right overhead (literally a few hundred feet overhead). If you're not military and haven't experienced an AFB, its not something to be missed. Three full courses and free driving range with your round. Your Review
