940 N Broadway Haverhill, MA 01832-1196 www.GolfCrystalLake.com 978.374.9621 This 18-hole parkland course is a Geoffrey Cornish design that debuted in 1966. It was formerly known as Crystal Springs Golf Club until new owner Michael Maroney purchased the course in 2010. The public walking rate is $30; carts are $16/person. Course Details
Average Hole Difficulty
Greens were great, but the rest of the course lacked in conditions. Multiple blind Tee shots, and directional flags would help. Overall, the back nine was in much better shape than the front. The course was adequate for the $32 weekday special, including cart. With the amount of discounted course coupons available in the area, I would play other far nicer courses for similar money. The course is in rough shape overall at the moment. It is under new management/ownership this year (2010), and you can tell that the previous owners did very little to keep the course up. The new owners have done a great job on the greens. All were in immaculate condition. The fairways and sand traps, however, are in poor shape. There is also construction going on, as new homes are being built in and around the course. I would like to see some better signage for direction from green to tee. I got turned around a couple times, and played part of 17 when I should have been playing 4. If the new owners put the same maintenance into the fairways and traps as they have to the greens, the course will be a great value, and a great place to play. Right now, given its current state, I would play other courses in the area for the same money. Your Review
