Architect Gene Bates oversaw a recent redesign of Bayonet, a picturesque course overlooking the Monterey Peninsula. Although the overall length of Bayonet has increased only 16 yards, the strategy and difficulty have been ratcheted up by Bates' new bunkering, while the Kikuyu and poa annua grass is gone, replaced by Jacklin T1 bent grass.

Great course with some really nice views of the bay. Fantastic condition and first rate service, practice facility. Pace of play was excellent (just over 4 hours on a Saturday afternoon)

Beautiful course. Tighter than Black Horse, but the greens aren't as undulating.
