Northwest Park Golf Course

As a 27 hole golf course, Northwest has a beautiful layout and is popular with golfers of all abilities. The course has 4 sets of tees to accommodate for different skill levels. From the tips, Northwest Golf Course is the longest in Montgomery County. Although long, Northwest is a very golfer-friendly course with its wide open fairways and large greens. Players of all kinds can enjoy their round. For those who enjoy a nice summer walk, Northwest is the place to play.

This review refers specifically to the Inside 9 (I haven't played the 18-hole course):
- I have been searching for years for a quick 9-hole option in the area, but there's always been some drawback. Usually if you want low price you have to sacrifice course conditions, or you end up at an executive course that isn't a real test of golf...Or worse, you give up all those things and you still end up waiting on every hole.
Well, at least when I played this place (on a Friday around noon), the Northwest Inside 9 sacrificed nothing. The place was in great shape, it was just about full length (rating from the back tees was above par), and I hopped right on. Not too many people on the course, the pace was solid.
Bottom line, at $15, this is one of the best values in the area, especially for the "extended lunch break" golfer.

Not a bad muni. Plays long, but is overall pretty open. Grass/underbrush in the woods has recently been grown out, so hitting in woods is a likely lost ball. Rough is fairly dense. Green condition just ok.
