Rattlewood Golf Course

Architect Brian T. Ault designed this par 72 course, which is average in length, but somewhat challenging in that it offers several risk/reward opportunities.

County run course. Even though it was 100+, the course was in great shape.
First time I played the course and will come back again. Some blind shots (not a fan of them), but not too bad. My partners told me where I should shoot for -- sometimes I was successful.

Played the gold (senior) tees.

Course was in good shape, greens were rolling faster than in years past.

Course was in good shape, altho' greens seemed to be mown shorter than normal, resulting in fast greens (putts sometimes rolled back down the hill if they didn't make it to the cup). One hole was shortened from par 4 to par 3 while maintenance is performed.

Course has been hit hard by the drought. Fairways and rough are not getting watered, so everywhere except greens and tees are hard-pan dirt paths. Greens looked to be recently aerated, with sand still on greens. Course does have some nice holes and good scenery, but I won't be back until we get a bit of rain.
