West Winds Golf Club

This William F. Mitchell design opened in 1970. The club now permits public play with advance booking; rates vary by season and are posted on the club's web site.

Definitely better than a year ago. The new ownership is making a noticeable difference. The greens are excellent and much better than a lot of the $80+ courses in this area. If you tried this course a few years ago and didn't like it, it is certainly worth another visit. You can't beat the prices either... only $48 for prime time early morning weekends.

Excellent condition. Course is difficult. Greens are excellent condition. Will definitely go back.

New owner has course in good shape. Greens roll at a good speed and our true. Tee boxes were in good shape. They offer some great rate specials trying to get people back after the last few owners ran it way down.

As of summer 2010, this course is in transition. It was originally a private golf club for the surrounding community, but limited membership forced it to invite the public as a semi-private course.

Many of the tee boxes are being restored and attempts on some of the fairways to resod has not been entirely successful. However, it's clear that this can be a great course once restored to its prime.

Quite long and most holes are lined with beautiful homes.
