University Of Maryland Golf Course

The University of Maryland Golf Course, an oasis within the Washington D.C. Capital Beltway, is an 18-hole, championship golf course with mature trees lining each fairway.

The course is open now after a yearlong renovation and personally, I'm disappointed. The main renovations were adding more tee boxes (5 sets now instead of 3) and working on the greens (which are much nicer now). The main problem is that it looks like they completely ignored the fairways and the rest of the course. The fairways are in worse shape after a year of no play than they ever have been! This course has potential, but in the shape it's in right now ... disappointing.

I like this one. Price is good, and it's a challenge for me. I can't wait to see what they've done with it in the big re-model.
