12163 Prichard Farm Rd Maryland Heights, MO 63043 crystalspringsquarry.com 314-344-4448 Playing golf at Crystal Springs Quarry has often been described as "taking a walk through a nature preserve." The course is designed in an old rock quarry as it weaves in and out of natural Missouri wetlands teeming with abundant wildlife. The course naturally blends with its surrounding land with each hole separate and distinct allowing the player to enjoy a peace not found on many courses. Crystal Springs Quarry is a true player’s golf course, demanding accuracy and positioning. Yet, while the challenge from the back tees may be too much for many golfers, four additional sets of tees allow players of all abilities to choose the one best suited for their maximum enjoyment. Reviews/Comments
This is about as close to my "home course" as it gets. I played here about 25 times last year. They just put in zoysia last year, so it is yet to be seen how nicely the course comes together this year. The last two years, it was cart path only. I absolutely love this course, but the main reason for that is just the fact I know the course very well and probably more than anything, I typically play there around 3:30 in the afternoon for like 25$, and they always let me out in front of a league, and I get to play 20-23 holes in less than 2 and a half hours. The scenery is great, there is a TON of wildlife to be seen. I think I see at least one deer every other time I play, and one time, I saw about 20. I play from the gold tees (second from the back) and I don't hit that long anymore, so take that into consideration. I've been hitting around 80-85 out there lately and I'm about a 14 capper. The par 5's are unreachable for me (lately), but I'm almost always right there for a par. There is one short par 3 and 3 long. I think they are around 120, 170, 180, and 210 yards. They also have a nice driving range and chipping/putting green, but it's out by the 10th hole at another clubhouse, not by the main clubhouse. |
