R9- TaylorMadeReviews/Comments Great idea executed well. Fits my current swing style, and as the lessons kick in i'm able to open the face more to reduce the compensation i've added to counteract my slice. Saves me from buying another driver when flaws are corrected. Feels very sturdy, smaller that 460cc head does feel less drag-y through the backswing. Does play a little shorted though even with the increased straightness i get. Great Club! The adjustable lie/loft is very cool for a low/mid handicapper since we don't know what swing will show up. I use the 8.5 loft with the face 2 degrees open and the weights setup for a slight fade... I'm prone for a snap hook so this setup is the best chance for a straight ball. The head is traditional looking and is workable even with the bias. Nice trajectory and even better sound. Taylormade is known for great driver and I think they've set the bar with the R9.
