I hear some of the funniest reasons why shots go awry.

The wind must be stronger up there.

I would have made it through that tree in the winter. There are too many leaves on it now.

Add your best excuses.

"Oh, thats not going to make it."

After a fat shot, "Ah, it stings like a thousand bees!" as you jump up and down shaking your hands.

Pop-up off the tee- "I got it, I got it!" or "was that your pitching wood?"
Skull- "Driving iron?"
Dribbler- "Thats a safe play." or "Nice lay-up." Or maybe even, "Thats gonna play long from there."
I love when people call it luck if I make a long putt or punch it through a tight spot. How is it luck if I was trying to do it?
I heard this one today- "They call me tiger because I am always in the woods."
When people start with the excuses, I usually just say that it was probably operator error.

My favorite... 300 yards forward and 100 yards off line- "Nice shot, Mike."

"Does your boyfriend play?"

"Does your boyfriend know you sneak out to play golf?"

"Hack, Horrible, Heinous, Hellacious, Horrendous, Hippopotamus!" (Don't ask)

After your buddy just hit a bad shot:
"I think that was due to your L.O.F.T. - Lack Of Flipping Talent."

How about after the 4th or 5th crooked shot they say "the ball must be cut" as far as the long putts go That chit aint luck I've seen way to many 10-20 foot putts dropped by TaylorFade to be called luck.

I had someone u8se this on me the other day:

Must have gotten your putter hooked in your skirt on the backswing.

2 holes later I made course history with an Eagle from 191 with a 2-Hybrid. First one recorded at the course on that hole. "Obviously, I hiked my skirt up for that one."

After your partner hits a drive shorter than yours:

Did you hear where they're building the new Wal-Mart?

No, where?

Between your ball and mine.

I love playing with my brother-in-law. Before the round he loves to tell me all about everything he's learned in his recent lessons. On the course, after he hits 4 or 5 OB I just like to ask...."How are those lessons working out for you?" I don't normally get a kind reply....

When I slice my driver for the first time in front of new playing partners, they are amazed at the AMOUNT of slice. I tell them it's my POWER fade!

Also, when someone misses a short put, ask them if there was pubes around the hole if they'd get it in.
