Using HTC Hero 2.1 firmware

GPS related bugs:

1. 1st hole at The Bluffs only shows the line from the layup point to the green. The line from the tee box to the layup point is missing.
course:

2. When you go to move the lay up point with your finger, a little target appears, however when you move the crosshair to where you want the lay up point, the layup point actually appears underneath your finger instead of where the cross hairs were centered on.

That's all I've noticed so far (just playing around with the new version in the office this morning). Going to take it for a real spin this afternoon at the course listed above.

#2 above..nevermind..it seems to go into some weird anti magnification mode with the cross hair that is confusing. it does seem to work but not how I was expecting.

#2 again..ok it's not anti magnifying, the picture under the cross hair is is not matching up with the map underneath..it shows the the point where your finger is touching in the crosshair and overwrites the course picture with that image..I'd rather just have the crosshair with no image . That is really confusing.

For #1 it is only acting this way because you are not on the course. When on the course it will use your current location and and create a layup point.

For #2, we originally had it do something similar to what you are describing, but it was confusing that the dot started out under your finger and then moved to above your finger based on the crosshairs. We found this to be easier where the crosshairs are just giving you an image of exactly where your finger is touching. Curious to see how others feel about this...

The thing is..when you finger is over it..you can't tell where you are moving the dot to, cause you can't see underneath your finger. I think the crosshair, without the image inside it of where you finger it at would be better. The crosshair with an image inside it over the course image is really...confusing

I've found the little distance checking tool to be inaccurate. If the app tells me I have 150 yards to the green (front) and then I use the tool to check the distance as I walk to the front it seems to be less than 150 (like 130).
