I have some scorecards from my last trip to Wailea. They are the most elaborate and deatiled I've ever seen. Some thing I don't understand and didn't ask about when I was there is they have a little illustrated green that has numbers listed at points around the perimeter.
What do those numbers refer to?

I Noticed something similar at The Oaks Course in San Antonio but there it has a "Depth=x" and the greens are divided into 1/2/3.

Kindly appreciate a 'splaination

Looking at it, it looks like distance from the front of the green to that location where the dot is. And it looks like the green depth is the highest number.

It looks like the 18 dot on the 4th hole is the distance from the front of the green to get to the top of the ridge for the back shelf of the green. On the 5th hole, the 16 looks like the distance to the start of the valley, and the 20 is the distance to the end of the valley, to the back right shelf.

I see.
Looks like that makes sense.

But what about the AT&T Oaks course and the 1,2,3 thing on the green?any ideas how to read that?

That looks like the same sort of deal of what I deal with at my courses. On the first tee, they give you a zone number of where the flag is. So say it is in zone 1, on your green map, you will see where it says the 1 zone is where the flag is located. So on this second hole, if you are playing to zone 1, the flag will be in the middle of the green.

That's easy, remember the old Red White and Blue.
Red front, White middle, Blue back.
One course I play uses only a yellow flag, it has the greens outlined on the card divided into six numbered sections. They tell you on the first tee. Today's pin location is five, or whatever.

Tried a laser n found maybe 4-5 holes per round I couldn't get it to report properly.Been liking GPS better lately and have been carrying my uProGo and iPhone4 with the oob app n find I get pretty good results. They usually agree within 1-2 yds. My swing is so bad that super-precise accuracy is not gonna help me.
May have been the brand/quality of the laser. My wife was offered a 30yr employee gift n she got it for me.
thanks for the help
