My understanding is that Kevin Langdon sold OOBGolf to SkyGolf in late 2009. As a devoted user of both OOBGolf and my SkyGolf SkyCaddie I've been waiting for integration of the two systems.

Specifically, OOBGolf offers a plethora of rich features for tracking statistics and scoring information which I capture on my iPhone and then upload to this website.

My SkyCaddie has the ability to save a few statistics like score and number of putts which is then uploaded to the SkyGolf website.

In 2010 Kevin worked with SkyGolf to build the iPhone and Android app but I'm waiting for step 3. What's the path for 2011 that will allow me to capture the rich content on my SkyCaddie for upload to an integrated OOBGolf/SkyGolf website?

Reslie,

Your info is close enough to true (though I'm a little sad I didn't get any love for selling to SkyGolf as well).

As far as answering your question- I can tell you it's all being discussed. SkyGolf has all of oob's technology features such as the stat tracking and charts. As a SkyCaddie member you also have access to the SkyCaddie iPhone and Android app- that does the same stat tracking as the oob app.

As far as the SkyCaddie device itself- I can't really discuss the business plans for that and how it will integrate across the board, but you can fairly assume that it is the product numero uno around here and gets a bulk of the attention of the entire company.

Thanks for your interest.

Andrew,

My appologies I got the info from Kevin's website and didn't realize...so here's love comin at ya...Smile.

Thanks for the tip on the SkyGolf app. It must have been posted with little fanfare cause I was unaware of it although I watch the App store pretty close - my wife says I am OCD about it.

However the more I thought about after I posted the mor convinced I became about integrating in a different way. Instead of linking the SkyCaddie to OOB I think the OOB App should allow me to post to the SkyGolf website as well as OOB.

In addition, I would like to have an option to post to GHIN which would save me a trip back to the club house at home and the pain of trying to remember to post on-line when I'm traveling.

Yah- the GHIN thing is definitely a cool idea and something we've talked a lot about. I'd love to add that functionality. Of course- we'd need to get them to play along as well...

You don't happen to know anyone there do you. Smile

Thanks again for the kind words- and as mentioned- we're working to improve the overall user experience of both websites and the overall experience of using a SkyCaddie.

Nope just a GHIN user but I have to believe they'd be open to the idea if would generate more users and higher revenues. I don't think GHIN is part of the USGA and therefore not a non-profit but I could be wrong.

I gather from this discussion that you and Kevin are still engaged with SkyGolf at some level so I hope you keep pushing for tighter integration.

BTW I downloaded the App a few minutes ago - it looked strangely familiar - another reason to suspect you still have some relationship with SkyGolf.

Keep up the good work and thanks for responding.

So final question for you or Kevin. I used the SkyGolf iPhone app today and the score and statistics posted to SkyGolf and ClubSG Beta. I'm sold and I'm ready to make the transition to ClubSG except for one small problem. I don't want to leave all the scores and statistics I have posted in OOBGolf behind.

So how am I going to get my scores and stats ported over into ClubSG?

BTW, I've asked the same question in the forum of ClubSG so if you are responding to both I only need to get the answer once.

OK! Thanks. How long does it take to show up? I put the userid and password in, clicked the execute button and got a note saying it was successful. I closed ClubSG and reopened it but my scores are not there. Sad

Hmmm. I've gone through the transfer routine twice now. No joy! The data does not appear to transfer. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to be a premium Club SG member for this to work. Do I need to be on a PC versus my Mac?

This should now be fixed. Please try again. Thanks for your patience.

Reslie, are you a pilot? The "no joy" comment gave you away.

Not a pilot but spent 22 years in the Air Force. One tends to pick up the lingo.

Hi, Guys:

I was hoping for a way to get my round from my ClubSG --> OOB.

CaddieSync gets the round from the SGX to ClubSG. I would like to continue using OOB, but i'd have to manually enter my rounds in, and that's a pain.

I have friends on OOB too, and i'd like to keep that social aspect going.
