Well, I just lost my post, so let me try again.

I see that a lot of people play titleist, Prov1 and 1x.
But I wonder what everyone really plays.

I have a few questions, so play along.

1 Favorite Ball - Nike PD Long (Yellows) Just started
2 Backup Ball - TopFlite Yellow Long
3 Variation Ball - Nike Ignite White

4 Do you always play white - No
5 Do you think Yellow is Snobby - No, just found that out
6 Can Men play Pink or Red - Real men can, I'm not a real man, i'm YELLOW bellied.
7 Can you tell how good the ball is by playing, or only by price tag - I cannot tell to be honest. Although 2 holes with a ProV1 it felt longer... but it was 8pm, night air.
8 Whats the most balls lost in a round - 8 LOL
9 Most lost in a hole (late addition) - 3 I think Smile
thanks guys.

1. Titleist Pro V1 - I almost never pay cash for Pro V1's. I find enough and acquire others from outings, prizes or credit card points. Am I good enough to use Pro V1's? Probably not but I have more confidence with them and that most likely makes up for any performance deficiency on the part of my swing.
2. Titleist NXT Tour
3. Callaway Diablo HX (I got a bunch recently for free)
4. Yes, although I tend to play a ball for a while and my buddies claim I play "gray" balls.
5. I won't play "Yellow" and I tend to unfairly think unkind thoughts about anyone's game who does. Some day I will play with a single digit, yellow ball playing golfer. Hasn't happened yet.
6. Nope.
7. I suspect that my impressions of a golf ball are more mental than physical. I would like to think I play better with Pro V1's but deep down I know the ball has relatively little to do with my results.
8. Not really sure. Years ago my wife and I played Killington (VT) Golf Course. We had quite a few balls in each of our bags. By the 17th hole we had lost every one except for the one I was playing and another in my pocket. It was decision time - does she get the next to last ball and I risk not being able to finish, or is she relegated to driving the cart? Answer: I am still married. Wink

1 Favorite Ball - Bridgestone-right now e6, was e7
2 Backup Ball - what ever else I have in the bag
3 Variation Ball -

4 Do you always play white - yes
5 Do you think Yellow is Snobby - No, just found that out
6 Can Men play Pink or Red - I wouldn't think so
7 Can you tell how good the ball is by playing, or only by price tag - can't tell, would like to though
8 Whats the most balls lost in a round - probably 10, it was close to double digits. Lost about 4 in the rough and the rest in the drink, bad day for sure.

1 Favorite Ball - Bridgestone 330-RX
2 Backup Ball - Titleist NXT Tour
3 Variation Ball - Anything I have in the bag, i.e. found

4 Do you always play white - Yes, that might change though
5 Do you think Yellow is Snobby - No, it has a place, particularly in the fall I would think.
6 Can Men play Pink or Red - Nope
7 Can you tell how good the ball is by playing, or only by price tag - I think I can tell, for the short game at least
8 Whats the most balls lost in a round - 15, at my first outing from the blues at the Ranch, in San Jose (142 slope!): it was target golf and my game was off target, lol.

1 Favorite Ball - Taylormade TP Black
2 Backup Ball - A bunch of random victims retrieved from the scrub/pond.
3 Variation Ball -

4 Do you always play white - Yes
5 Do you think Yellow is Snobby - No, I don't see them as well as white.
6 Can Men play Pink or Red - No
7 Can you tell how good the ball is by playing, or only by price tag - it has to be played. The Nike One Tour ball is ridiculously short compared to its competitors.
8 Whats the most balls lost in a round - they say when you play Koolau you need to bring as many balls as your handicap. My handicap was 18 at the time and I played to it i.e. 18 in the jungle/drink.

1 Favorite Ball - Bridgestone e6
2 Backup Ball - TopFlite Gamer
This ball gets no respect due to it's price and being a Top-Flite, but the Gamer's are easily the best value in Golf with out a doubt.

3 Variation Ball - Not sure what a variation ball is but occasionally if I'm not feeling it, and I'm about to hit over water or a reveen, I pull out a pink sissy ball. It always makes it over.

4 Do you always play white - Yep
5 Do you think Yellow is Snobby - Huh?
6 Can Men play Pink or Red - NO!!!
7 Can you tell how good the ball is by playing, or only by price tag - by playing

8 Whats the most balls lost in a round - 10
9 Most lost in a hole (late addition) - 3

1 Favorite Ball - Bridgestone e6
2 Backup Ball - Good one I found if out of #1
3 Variation Ball - Same as #2
4 Do you always play white - No
5 Do you think Yellow is Snobby - No
6 Can Men play Pink or Red - If my buddies find a colored ball, they make me play it since my eyesight isn't what it used to be. They say it helps Shocked
7 Can you tell how good the ball is by playing, or only by price tag - I go by sound and feel, those I can tell.
8 Whats the most balls lost in a round - 5??
9 Most lost in a hole - 2

1 Favorite Ball - Bridgestone e5
2 Backup Ball - Bridgestone E6
3 Variation Ball - Bridgestone E6
4 Do you always play white - yes
5 Do you think Yellow is Snobby - no...but orange is
6 Can Men play Pink or Red - play whatever you want. I saw a dude playing a bright gold ball once. He wouldn't let me look at it either.
7 Can you tell how good the ball is by playing, or only by price tag - I can tell if the compression is right for my swing speed by hitting it with a driver a few times. As far as spin goes, I rely on articles that actually test the balls.
8 Whats the most balls lost in a round - hell if I know

1 Favorite Ball: Bridgestone B330 RXS
2 Backup Ball: Bridgestone E5 (New "Dimple in Dimple" technology)
3 Variation Ball: Bridgestone E6
4 Do you always play white: Whites on the course, Yellow on the range
5 Do you think Yellow is Snobby: No, more gimmicky
6 Can Men play Pink or Red: Depends on their sexual orientation.
7 Can you tell how good the ball is by playing, or only by price tag: I can feel differences, particularly around green and off tee.
8 What are the most balls lost in a round: Lately, 2 or 3. Many years ago, before I really learned to play, probably a couple dozen.
9 Most lost in a hole: I always find the ones that go in the hole! Wink

1 Favorite Ball - Callaway HX Hot Bite
2 Backup Ball - Srixon Zstar Yellow
3 Variation Ball - Whatever I find
4 Do you always play white - No
5 Do you think Yellow is Snobby - No, Never really thought of Yellow as Snobby.
6 Can Men play Pink or Red - To each their own. I could care less
7 Can you tell how good the ball is by playing, or only by price tag - I can tell around the greens. Seen quite a few top flites never quit rolling off a 58 degree wedge.
8 Whats the most balls lost in a round - 5-10.. Place called Newport Dunes. 25+ MPH wind and Native grass equals plenty of balls lost. Look the course up if you never have heard of it. Awesome Arnold Palmer design.
9 Most lost in a hole (late addition) - 2 or 3. Had a little Tin Cup moment.

1 Favorite Ball - Nike One Tour (currently). Got a couple free sleeves and like 'em.
2 Backup Ball - TopFlite D2 Feel
3 Variation Ball - Taylormade Burner
4 Do you always play white - Yes.
5 Do you think Yellow is Snobby - No, I like yellow. I've thought about playing a yellow ball.
6 Can Men play Pink or Red - Only if you're good enough. I'm certainly not.
7 Can you tell how good the ball is by playing, or only by price tag - I can tell by the feel off the putter, primarily, starting to prefer softer urethane cover for chips/putts.
8 Whats the most balls lost in a round - 6
9 Most lost in a hole (late addition) - 3 on a long forced carry par 3. How embarassing.

6 Can Men play Pink or Red - Only if they are better than the rest of the group

9 Most lost in a hole (late addition) - 2. I usually set a limit of 2 lost balls per hole when I have one of "those" days.
