Bought a sleeve of Titleist Tour NXT's last night and really liked them, however I'm going by Dick's and get a box of Bridgestone e6's. I haven't played them yet but lots of good reviews.

This may sound silly but lots of people pay Titleist and few play Bridgestone. It would be nice to hit a slightly unique ball.

Nikes, Titleists, and Top Flites seem to be the three most common around here. At least those are the ones I find the most. Especially Nikes.

I like playing Callaway Warbirds for several reasons. The first is that I'm at a point in my game where I don't want a lot of spin on my ball. Sure, it would help me hold more greens, but I still slice and hook occasionally. I need something that's not going to get me in trouble if that happens. Besides, the best part of my game right now is chipping (how many times have you heard someone say that?). The other thing I like about them, though, is that they play soft. It's not like a Top Flite, where when you hit it solid, you feel like you broke your club. Also, I play a lot of golf...and I play with a lot of different people. I have only met one other player that plays Callaway Warbirds, so I know when I find one on a course, it's probably mine.

But the best part about the Warbirds is that they are cheap. I tend to buy them used for less than a buck a ball, but I've also been known to buy them new when they are on sale.

I've played a lot of different balls over the years. From top-flite, kro-flite, maxfli, ultra, and dunlop to wilson, titleist, slazenger, and callaway. As i got better i realized that there IS a difference in how different balls perform and play and eventually settled on where i am now. After getting "fit" 3 different times, i have settled on the Titleist ProV1x and the Callaway Tour IZ. I use the titleists on normal days because they're long and i spin them plenty for normal playing. I'll use the callaways on exceptionally dry or colder days because they play a little softer than the proV1x and i can spin them like crazy. I'll also play the callaway if i'm at a course where the greens are parking lots.

I just starting play Bridgestone e7+ because it is suppose to lower my trajectory. I only played one round with them and did not notice a difference yet. I had been playing Callaway HX hot plus and they were great off the tee but I need something that will help my iron play. I balloon alot of irons and drives ( it is probably my swing and not the ball) and want to get a better ball flight. The HX hot plus performed well around the green too. I buy strictly recycled balls from sites such as Lostgolfballs.com and golfballnut.com as they look brand new and cost only $.60 -$1.00 a ball. I lose to many to pay $3 a ball. If anyone has suggestions on balls that lower ball flight let me know.

I like to play a Nike One platinum or tour. Really I will gladly play any 3 or 4 piece tour ball when I happen to find a nice one on the course, whether a prov1, v1x, callaway tour i, tm penta, tp red, bridgestone 330, etc. I feel like they are all about equally good. The reason I buy and play mostly the Nike's... they tend to be the cheapest.

Have you thought about the fact that your swing and your clubs probably are more cause for the trajectory?

Anyway, Bridgestone E7, Nike SFT-2, Callaway Big Bertha Diablo, Pinnacle Gold FX Long, Titlelist PTS roll are some examples. What more do want in a ball? Spin? Feel? Price?

Myself, I'm currently looking for a ball that is more forgiving to my slicing. I'm now playing Srixon Z-URS (lakeballs), but I feel pretty good about Wilson DX2 and Nassau plus.

The Bridgestone e5 is my pick. Fairly priced a $26 a dozen and has straight high flight and decent spin around the green. The e6 is a good ball as well, it flies extremely straight but lacks spin around the green.
