Okay, this isn't a golf joke, per se. But it happened last night, and I was laughing so hard, we had to let a group play through.
I was paired up with a couple of older (not old...just older than I) gents who were pretty cool guys. On hole six, after the one named Larry holed out for par, he picked his ball out of the cup and started walking away. As he was fumbling with his ball, club, and trying to pick up the wedge he had left lying on the green, he dropped the ball. It karomed off of the side of his foot and rolled about 15 feet right back into the hole. We made a few cracks about liking the hole so much he had to par it twice etc, and then we started to move on.
Or so we thought.
Just as the guy named Roy finished holilng out, Larry was putting his club away clear off the side of the green a good 60 feet from the hole. He dropped his ball again. This time, it karomed off of the blade of the wedge and rolled all the way back to the hole just as I was replacing the pin. You guessed it. It rolled right in.
And his partner quipped, "now you're just showing off."
I've never seen anything like it.
